Discover your own past life
David Wells
You don't have to visit a past life therapist to discover when and where you might have lived before. You can do it yourself using David's specially developed 'visualisation' technique. 'What you can do is either record this viualisation on to a tape and play it back to you or ask a friend to read it out,' says David. 'Before you begin make sure you have guaranteed peace and quiet - and allow time for reflection afterwards.'
1. Close your eyes and imagine youself in a forest. Visualise it around you and let a complete picture of this outdoor scene build in your mind. You now see a path. Be sure-footed as you walk along it.
2. Walk to the base of an Oak tree you see in the distance. Take your time - theres no need to hurry. You see a door in the trunk of the tree and enter.
3. The room has a black and white floor, which is covered in herbs. The plants crunch as you walk over them.
4. You move to the back of the room and see an altar, behid which is another door. Go through it into another room, where a ball of arange light is hovering over a chair. Sit on the chair.
5. The chair now moves gently upwards, taking you with it. You feel protected and safe. Spend a few minutes experiencing the warm glow from the light as you rise higher and higher on the chair.
6. When the chair stops, you find yourself in a snowy world. You can see a path in the chair and a huge circular building. Walk towards the building.
7. You see doors round it - choose one you'd like to go through. As you enter you find yourself in a corridor. Note any objects or symbols on the walls, as these will give you clues about your past life.
8. As you reach the end of the corriador, you see another door leading into a library. When you enter you find a table with a huge book on it.
9. Open the book. As you flick through the pages you may see words or images or feel or hear things. Again, these are clues about your past life. Remember you control how much, or how little you see.
10. Enjoy some time with your book. When you feel ready make your way out of the library and back into the corridor.
11. The orange ball of light is waiting for you in the corridor. It's your taxi back. Let the light close around you, relax again and enjoy the journey back to your tree. Once you're in the Oak tree room, bow at the altar and say thank you, then step outside.
12. Now walk back through the forest and return to your starting point. Let the forest slowly fade in the distance, and open your mind to the here and now.
13. Put the kettle on, get the biscuits out and take time to write down everything you've experienced.
